There will be a ballot issue this November (2007) asking voters to approve the proposed mill levy to pay for the expansion. The Montrose Recreation District is proposing to expand the existing Aquatic Center to include:
* 2 multi-use Gymnasiums for basketball, volleyball, indoor tennis, and drop-in after school sports
* Multi-purpose Rooms for aerobics, karate, tae kwon do classes as well as other programs & activities
* Classroom space for Arts & Crafts, Meetings, Birthday Parties, etc.
* Indoor Walking Track
* Improved bathrooms & family changing areas
